How do I search for a donor?

how do I find an egg donor

Each recipient has his/her own criteria in what they are looking for in a donor.  Some would like their donor to resemble the mother.  Others want the same educational background as the parents.  While still others are looking for a donor who fits their familial ancestry.  Each recipient’s decision of selecting a donor is an important one.

At The World Egg Bank, we recommend beginning your search with a wide array of traits.  Try not to limit your specific attributes/requirements too soon.  This will allow your pool of donors to start large, and you can eliminate donors you feel aren’t a good match.

If you are looking for donors that have eggs in the bank, we recommend clicking the ‘Premium Banked’ link under the search criteria.  This will allow only those donors who have eggs ready to ship to show up in your search.  These donors are also indicated with a snowflake icon and will be displayed first in your search results.

Once you have found several donors you are interested in, you can add these to your ‘Favorites’ tab.  This will take the donor out of the general search population for you and allow you to continue to look for new donors.  If you have questions regarding any donors, please contact our Client Representative.
